Pastor of a new generation church, Basil Princewill, was yesterday remanded at Kuje prisons by an Abuja High Court over alleged rape.
Princewill, who oversees the Mountain Movers Fire Ministries International, Nyanya, was alleged to have raped two 14-year-old members of his church under pretences of offering them prayers in July, 2011.
The pastor, according to charges filed by the FCT commissioner of police, allegedly procured abortion for one of the girls at the Fountain Health Clinic, Nyanya after telling doctors that he was her father.
After the leave to prefer the charges was granted by Justice Hussein Baba Yusuf, the pastor’s counsel Esther Uzoma applied for adjournment, arguing that the defence has not been served with the processes.READ MORE
